Pulupandan - Guimaras RORO trips still suspended in 2019, Small ferries schedule to continue

Pulupandan Port Terminal that serves RORO trip to Guimaras is suspended
In 2016, Pulupandan Port Terminal started serving passengers, cargoes, and vehicles going to and out from Guimaras to Negros Island thru their RORO vessel (roll-on, roll-off). This is on top of the small ferries that have a regular schedule for many years now.

However, in June 2018, the RORO trips were all canceled and suspended. Ever since there is no word on when their service will come back.

For travelers coming from Negros Occidental including Bacolod and Bago, the only option is to go via the small ferries or motorboats which is also located in Patik, Pulupandan.

The trip will take about 1.5 hours one-way depending on the weather. If the waves and winds permit, then the trip could be shortened to an hour.

Similarly, RORO vessels before traverses the Guimaras straight for about an hour and a half.

The downside of this is that the ferries are small and can only accommodate passengers but not heavy cargoes like cars or SUVs. Motorbikes or bicycles can be boarded but in limited or select size.

If you are traveling to Guimaras Island and bringing a car, there is only one option and that is via Bacolod - Iloilo - Guimaras thru Fast Cat shipping lines and RORO vessels located in Iloilo and Jordan wharves.
